what can i do

it has been a week for strange weather. we've had lots of thick fog in the mornings, some warm sunny afternoons, beautiful sunsets . . . and yesterday and today have been raging storms. i love that i get to be outside for my job, and able to enjoy the changing weather. i am amazed by His character in it all, and how He reveals Himself to me.
He is the compass - the guidance in my life that keeps me on course in the midst of heavy fog.
He is the truth - the Light. With blinding sunshine He reveals the lies of this world, and the truth of His promises.
He is the artist - with amazing detail and color He puts together the sunrises, and sunsets. He is the author, the creator of everything good.
He is the protector - with the ability to still the towering waves with simple words of authority, and so much more to quiet the raging storm in my heart.
HE IS LIFE bringing the rain to refresh even the dryest places of our hearts.

one of my favorite songs while at Capernwray was "What can I do" by Paul Baloche . . . and I think of it everytime I stand captured by a sunset, or awed at the sound of the screeching wind.
When I see the beauty, of the sunset’s glory
amazing artistry, across the evening sky
When I feel the mystery, of a distant galaxy
It awes and humbles me
To be loved by a God so high
What can I do but thank you
What can I do but giveMy life to you
Hallelujah, hallelujah
What can I do but praise you
Every day make everything I do
A hallelujah
When I hear the story, of a God of mercy
Who shared humanity, and suffered by our side
Of the cross they nailed you to, that could not hold you
Now you’re making all things new
By the power of your risen life
