it's been an interesting day . . . i awoke to find my family gathered around my bed, talking to me in a language that seemed anything but english. as i mentioned . . . i'm not very alert in the mornings. i opened my eyes, looked around - utterly confused and mumbling unintelligible things, when i hear my dad state that they made me a whole "steak of craps" .
what?
i mumbled something else, and tried to roll over. it was then that i realized, what he had meant to say was a whole "stack of crepes"
that sounded a whole lot better . . . definitely worth getting up for :)
(sorry papa - i just had to tell that story . . . it really is a good one. and remember, i am laughing "with you")
i overindulged on the crepes . . . then went shopping with my bro and he bought me a new earring for my birthday. it's alot thicker than my normal one . . . and my sister practically had to repierce my ear just to get it in . . . ouch. lots of pain.
then, i puttered around a little bit, and watched a movie with my dad. million dollar baby. i don't know how i feel about that movie - i felt sick the whole time i watched it. if you're not one for watching pain and blood, i wouldn't suggest it.
and now . . . my mother is upstairs preparing a gourmet meal of salmon, vegetables and roasted potatoes.
let the party begin!

Hey there Lori
Sorry we can't be there for the celebrations. I am jealous of the crepes and salmon. Hope you enjoyed your pseudo-birthday today. Happy Birthday. Love you lots!
Hey Lori
I finally found my way to your blog, only to find out you told everyone about my slip of the tongue - it was first thing in the morning after all...
So now you are 19. It's hard to believe. The Baby of the house is always special, because she represents so many lasts. Last child to be potty trained - yay! last child to go to school, last child to learn to drive (it was close though) and last child to be a teenager. Next year we will have no more teenagers - yikes! Then we will be officially old.
Thanks for keeping us young for one more year!
pain! lots of pain!
...you're lucky i didn't fong you. :)
happy birthday, pooch!
oh my janis . . . i'm laughing so hard and i have to go pee
Hey Dawn,
